Carl A. Smart received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New Mexico in 1994 and then earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from The University of New Mexico School of Law in 1997. He has worked as Lead Attorney for the United States Small Business Administration where he led a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure proper compliance with Federal, State and local laws while providing economic assistance to disaster survivors. Carl also worked as General Counsel for a management company with large apartment complexes and office buildings. He has worked as plaintiff’s counsel at a high-volume personal injury law firm. He strives to find the positive in every situation, and always works hard to assist those in need.
