James (Jim) L. Corbett is an associate attorney with National Litigation Law Group. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1985 from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia working in the banking industry before receiving his Juris Doctor from Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University in 1993. After becoming licensed to practice law, Jim prosecuted criminal cases as an assistant district attorney for approximately five and a half years in the State of Georgia. He then returned to his home state of Michigan and worked as a prosecuting attorney in the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office for 20 years, retiring as a Senior Assistant Prosecutor. Prior to coming to work for NLLG Jim was a substitute teacher for K thru 12.
When Jim is not practicing law, he enjoys DIY projects, boating, hiking, cooking, reading, rooting for the Norsemen of North Muskegon, Michigan (of which his son is a member), and playing with his black lab, Norse.
